What is the primary role of ScreenwritersPLUS?
ScreenwritersPLUS consists of a group of creative writers who are paid to write screenplays, novels, memoirs, and more based on your story idea, outline, or concept. After our collaboration, you will have an industry-standard piece of writing that you can be proud to share with entertainment professionals.

What are your fees? Can you work for free or "on spec"?
As working writers, we cannot work for free. Fees vary based on the length of the writing project, desired timeline, subject matter, whether the screenplay is an adaptation of an existing work, and other factors. But suffice to say, our rates are intended to be affordable for people outside the industry and are dramatically lower than WGA rates. Contact us through the provided form with more information about your needs to receive a no-obligation customized quote.

How can you guarantee the confidentiality of our creative partnership?
A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is signed by both ScreenwritersPLUS and by the hired writer as part of the Letter of Agreement which serves as the contract for the project. Your confidentiality is assured.

Can ScreenwritersPLUS get my movie made? How can I get a foothold in the industry?
We are not a literary agency or a production studio, and we cannot guarantee that the project we write will get sold or produced. And while our writers are often just as motivated to "secure the sale" of their writing as you are, we are under no obligation to pitch or otherwise solicit your screenplay once it is completed. Realistically, there are many more unproduced screenplays than produced ones, even at the highest levels. That said, your passion and commitment has already brought you here, and that's a terrific and essential first step! Believe in your story and remember that the journey to getting a movie made is a marathon and rarely ever a sprint!

​Are ScreenwritersPLUS writers entitled to writing credits?
As strong advocates for our writers, ScreenwritersPLUS does not usually entertain ghostwriting arrangements except under special circumstances. Instead, we insist that you and the writer operate under a co-writing credits arrangement. This has proven fair for both parties.

Are ScreenwriterPLUS writers entitled to additional compensation for their work beyond the initial agreement?
If a writer is credited as co-writer, he or she is entitled to industry-standard writing fees beyond the amount you paid if a completed screenplay is bought, optioned, or otherwise produced. This subsequent and considerable fee will be paid to you and to the writer by the film production, and will not come out of your pocket. In the case of a novel or memoir which gets published, the writer is entitled to some portion of the advance and/or royalties generated by the book's sale. These fee structures are outlined in the Letter of Agreement signed before work commences.

Can I be hired by ScreenwritersPLUS as a writer?
ScreenwritersPLUS has a full staff of writers and is not looking for any additional writers at this time.​
